چکیده

In the current work, effect of H2O2 addition on flame structure, laminar speed and NOx emissions is investigated in context 1D premixed H2/air flames at Tu = 300 600 K, p 1 30 atm, ? 0.5. Mathematical tools from computational singular perturbation approach are used order to identify key chemical transport mechanisms. The causes a significant increase (sL), heat release (Q) emissions. Indicatively, 10% (per fuel volume) atm results 72% sL, 100% Q, 140% mass fraction NO. Depending conditions structure altered through chain carrying reaction 10f (H2O2 + H ? H2O OH) or branching 9f (+M) 2OH (+M)); first favored low temperatures/pressures while latter sufficiently high temperatures/pressures. Both reactions boost radical pool generation, therefore contributing broadening zone. with largest contribution Q that mostly affected (decreased) by 21 (H O2 ? HO2 (+M)). Moreover, enhances stability flame. Finally, increased production NO mainly associated temperature reached H2O2.

Chemically-Passive Suppression of Laminar Premixed Hydrogen Flames in Microgravity

Effects of chemically-passive fire suppressants on laminar premixed hydrogen flames were investigated by combined use of microgravity experiments and computations. The experiments used a short-drop free-fall laboratory facility that provides at least 450 ms of 2 10 g. Near -limit laminar burning velocities were measured for outwardly propagating spherical stoichiometric hydrogen-air flames with...

Effect of Hydrogen Addition on the Flammability Limit of Stretched Methane/Air Premixed Flames

A computational study is performed to investigate the effects of hydrogen addition on the fundamental characteristics of stretched methane/air premixed flame in an opposed flow configuration. The problem is of interest as a potential application to gas turbines and spark-ignition engines, where it has been anticipated that addition of a small amount of hydrogen will extend the lean flammability...

the effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
